On 18 February 1968, two great leaders — may Allah grant them mercy — Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum met beneath two tents in the desert, on a rise known as Argoub Al Sidairah, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. From this meeting emerged a shared vision rooted in unity, foresight, and collective strength. With generosity and wisdom, they extended an invitation to the remaining Emirates to join them, marking the beginning of a journey that would lead to the birth of the United Arab Emirates.

The United Arab Emirates launched the “Zayed & Rashid” Campaign as a national initiative honoring the nation’s Founding Fathers’ vision — Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum for their historic role in the founding of the United Arab Emirates. The campaign reflects the nation’s authentic values and its enduring vision of a strong, cohesive union, while nurturing a renewed sense of pride through celebratory initiatives that reinforce national identity.
The UAE & Kuwait — Brothers Forever
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, dedicated a full week — beginning on 29 January — to celebrating UAE–Kuwait relations. This initiative reflects the long-standing ties of brotherhood, cooperation, and mutual respect between the two nations. In this spirit, the State of Kuwait extends its sincere gratitude to the President of the United Arab Emirates for his gracious gesture and genuine sentiments.
In gratitude and remembrance, Twaaq chose to be part of the “Zayed & Rashid” Campaign.
We worked closely with individuals who were honored to be close to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, seeking to capture more than leadership traits — reaching into their profound humanity and noble character. Among these memories emerged distinctive personal scents — select fragrances that are deeply tied to the UAE history. With reverence for this legacy, we were passionate to reinterpret those scents into a carefully crafted iconic perfume. A unique creation designed to stand as an enduring tribute to the nations' founding fathers and their vision for a union that has become one of the most remarkable nation-building stories of the modern era. We wanted to create a memorable exeprience for the community offering a unique glimpse into the country’s rich heritage.
